“Being in Gifted and Talented is fun and challenging. This year my class entered a National literacy competition called Word Mania and we came first in Australia. We won prizes and resources for our school!”

“I have found the Gifted and Talented program to be interesting and engaging. It has opened up opportunities for me such as joining the debating team as well as participating in many competitions including The Big Science Competition (Australian Science Innovations ).”

“I really enjoy Gifted and Talented because we get to do a lot of extra-curricular activities such as Book in a Day, participating in the Robocup competition and multiple other events such as the Big Science Quiz and the National Maths Competition.”
Rachael Burns – Year 9
“The Gifted and Talented program has helped me, as well as my peers, to challenge and extend ourselves. It can provide a more desirable learning environment that is distraction free. So far some of the extra-curricular activities I have been involved in include excursions to; Sci-tech, the Gin Gin observatory, Point Peron, Parliament house and the law courts. I have also been able to participate in Maths, Science, Geography and creative writing competitions (Book in a Day).”
