We are incredibly proud of Aeryn Wood, Year 12 School Captain and Aviation Studies Specialist Program student as the 2025 Minister for Education Aviation Scholarship Award Recipient.
The prestigious Ministers’ Aviation Scholarship valued at $5,000, is presented annually to the most outstanding Year 12 student who is studying aviation at a public high school in Western Australia. The scholarship recognises a student who is motivated and committed towards aviation studies and a future career in the industry.
Aeryn has shown exceptional dedication and passion for aviation since joining the Aviation program in Year 7 and has consistently excelled both academically and practically. Her commitment to her studies and her remarkable achievements, including completing her first solo flight in 2023, have set her apart as a deserving recipient of this award.
Acting Principal Sam Steele praised Aeryn for her hard work and determination. “This scholarship recognises the incredible talent and dedication of our young aviation enthusiast and is a shining example of what can be achieved with passion and perseverance.”
Aeryn expressed her gratitude for the scholarship, stating, “I am incredibly honoured to receive this award. It will greatly support my future studies and career in aviation. I am thankful for the support of my teachers, family, and friends who have encouraged me every step of the way.”
