Connect is the learning management system used at Melville SHS. It provides a secure internet service that allows your child’s teachers to provide information about the teaching and learning activities occurring in their class directly to the parents of students in each class. Participation in Connect is optional for parents and is an opt out process. The Department of Education will issue you with a unique user name and password when your child starts high school to provide you with online access to Connect.
The service allows for flexible communication between parents and teachers as well as providing personalised information about your child’s learning activities and progress. Student results will be available within the Assessment Outlines tab. Please note that during moderation before reports, this access may be turned off.
Connect Parent Workshops
Parents/guardians are invited to attend a workshop/demonstration to learn how to navigate Connect classes, access reports and contact teachers. The latest information about the Students Online Policy will be provided and parents will have the opportunity to ask any ICT related questions.

There are currently 3 sessions to choose from. Places are limited to 40 per session but if the session you want to attend is full, please add your name to the waitlist and we will offer another session.
Please note there is no need to print a ticket but in alignment with record keeping for COVID safety, for the 2pm session you will be required to sign in at Reception. For the 4 pm session on the 9th Feb and the 4pm session on 16th Feb, your attendance will be recorded as you enter the Learning Resource Centre. For all sessions, you will be required to scan in on the ServiceWA/SafeWA app. These sessions are run in Term 1 and Term 3 (if requested) each year. Electronic Delivery of Student Reports
Parents of Year 7-12 students access electronic delivery of student reports from Connect. Electronic delivery allows the timely delivery of reports, the ability to easily provide copies of reports to each parent or guardian where dictated by family circumstances and the ability to retain a digital record of student achievement. Parents use their existing parent account in Connect to access student reports. Clicking on the link on the parent page will download the report as a PDF file.
