Early in the term, Melville SHS celebrated the outstanding achievements of students and graduates in 2023. Special mention goes to Isaac Panozzo for winning the Beazley Medal (VET) and to Lailah Frazer for winning the Rob Riley Memorial Prize (VET).

The ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership & Teamwork Awards
In addition to his Gold Certificate, Philip also received the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award. The awards are presented to students that “demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader community, and who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and ‘mateship’ — values considered integral to both the ADF and Australian society.”
