Uncategorized

In the last week of Term 4 in 2022, Aviation Specialist Program students and their families celebrated a highly successful year overall, and especially the top achievers in the program at the MASC (Melville Aviation Studies Centre Support Group) Annual Awards Night in the Performing Arts Centre. New students who were entering the program in 2023 were also invited to receive their ‘wings’ and be welcomed into the program.

The Dux of Aviation for 2022 was Year 12 Student Luke Yaxley, who gained his Recreational Pilot’s Licence (RPL) allowing him to take passengers in an aircraft while flying. Luke commenced his training through the school with Mr Brink in 2020. Year 10 student, Keli Crew, also achieved this license last year which is a remarkable achievement. Luke won the Education Minister’s Aviation Scholarship in 2021 worth $5,000. Other award winners are listed below.
